So many areas open for interpretation.IE. In my business to go and play golf 2 hours away is not deductible as a business expense but if I go and see a couple of clients and have it logged in my appt book and do an account review a portion of my expenses can be claimed.The key word is "reasonable" expenses.It is done all the time I am sure.
Our system of Taxation has so much basis in honesty.Unfortunately,the system is such that inequities that exist have forced a greater movement to the underground economy.Bartering is becoming more prevalent and people are using the tax laws to their advantage and testing the "grey areas" more now than ever before.
