- Why PTEK (Premiere Tech) is a strong buy:

- High flying ipo's cause other companies' stock to go higher if they own the ipo, i.e., WCAP owned shares of COOL. So WCAP goes from $1 to $65 in a blink of an eye (now at $45 or so)

- Same thing with CMGI, WCAP, SHAL... etc...

- the next super-hot ipo is WebMD. Who is backing WebMD? None other than Dupont w/ $200 mill; and a proposal on Tues. from MSFT for $300 mill

- who owns 12% of WebMD? You guessed it: PTEK (Premier Tech)

- I think the WebMD ipo comes out within 2 weeks. See the SB1 on Edgar. Robinson Humphrey is the lead.

- PTEK is a very reputable companey. Income statement shows $120 mill in 1994 revenue; vs. $444 mill in 1998

- sitting on $40 mill in cash & marketable securities

- addtl paid in cap is $562 mill

- & finally, PTEK has built up the $444 mill in revs the hard way. Inlcuding alliances with SUNW (Sun Microsystems) & many of the major players.

- retained earnings is negative $153 mill - which means they're losing money over the
long haul

- on balance - given the alliances & ownership with WebMD; and MSFT's involvement,
I think this can do pretty well.
