CyberShop Partners With Inktomi

CyberShop(R) International, Inc. (Nasdaq: CYSP), a leading online retailer, today announced that it has entered into a marketing agreement with Inktomi Corp. (Nasdaq: INKT), developer of scalable Internet infrastructure software, to incorporate its products into the Inktomi Shopping Engine. The Inktomi Shopping Engine will be incorporated into 20 leading portal and destination sites across the Web providing shoppers with fast search access to over two million products.
Under the terms of the agreement, CyberShop will feature items from both its main website, www.cybershop.com, as well as from its electronics.net site, www.electronics.net, the "Biggest Electronics Store Everywhere". This agreement will allow shoppers to have easy access to CyberShop's designer and brand name product, in a variety of categories, at deep discounts of up to 80% off original prices every day, auctions, daily and weekly features, and promotional offerings. Additionally shoppers will have easy access to electronics.net's largest selection of consumer electronics and appliances on the Internet, best price guarantee, top brands and "Monday Madness" specials.

This agreement follows the Company's recent announcements of a merchandising strategy targeting the flourishing outlet store and off-price categories and of the Company's entry into the online auction arena both on its own site and in partnership with Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) Auctions.com. CyberShop now offers designer and brand name product, in a variety of categories, including the addition of men's, women's, and children's apparel, at deep discounts of up to 80% off original prices every day. The Company continues to offer a range of other merchandise including housewares, electronics, toys, luggage, home office, jewelry and watches. Inktomi has now forged agreements with 20 leading portal and destination sites to provide the underlying infrastructure for their online shopping offerings. New partners include FreeServers, FreeYellow.Com, Global DataTel (OTC BB: GDIS), NetGift Registry and Time Inc. New Media. These add to existing partnerships with Infoseek (Nasdaq: SEEK), operator of GO Network, CNET (Nasdaq: CNET) and NBC's Snap, GeoCities (Nasdaq: GCTY), and CNNfn among others. In addition, over 350 of the Web's most prominent merchants have signed on to offer products through the Inktomi Shopping Engine. The current database of over two million products spans 14 categories and merchant partners include barnesandnoble.com (NYSE: BKS), Beyond.com (Nasdaq: BYND), Egghead.com (Nasdaq: EGGS), Outpost.com (Nasdaq: COOL), Reel.com, REI.com and Sports Superstore Online.
This agreement with Inktomi marks the eighth significant strategic relationship CyberShop has established in the last year.
