Lets face it, all internet stocks are overvalued, or have been considered overvalued throughout their trading history. Look at AOL. Those who thought is was a good buy in 1992 and held on to their shares are millionaires now. The point being, if you use good judgment and perception of where the future is headed, gains from a few winners will more than offset losses in all others! I started in this racket a little over a year ago, invested in AOL,YHOO, and a few f$#&*@# y2k stocks. I can accept a few losers is the search for the next AOL!

happy investing

This is a silly, silly argument. Just because one is good does not mean the other is bad. Much money is to be made on the growth of the industry as a whole, as it grows, the WHOLE pie gets bigger, not just the biggest piece.

Your argument would preclude buying Ford or any other automobile stock just because GM is bigger, or avoiding MCI, IDTC, QWST, etc because of a little company known as T. Doesn't wash. If the telecom sector is hot, they all grow, not just the biggest.
