ROUND ROCK, TEXAS (April 12) BUSINESS WIRE -April 12, 1999--Dell
Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:DELL), the world's leading direct computer systems company, today announced it is first to offer the new Iomega(R) Zip(R) 250 drive as an integrated option on its Dimension(R) and OptiPlex(R) desktop PCs and Dell Precision(tm) WorkStations.

Crockhead: ...And every single one of those OEM Zip drives sold at a loss to Dell.

Crockhead: Did anyone catch Jodie's answer to OEM Zip250 Margins in the CC? He sounded very pleased when he announced that OEM Zip250 was selling for a positive Gross Margin.

So, As usual, your statement about "every single one of those OEM Zip drives sold at a loss to Dell" was completely false. True to form you prove yourself to contribute nothing but illogical, incorrect and baseless nonsense.

give it up. what I personally liked about the call is that IOM said they are now capable of ramping up new products much faster than previous. they have a MR drive and a CD writer. There's $16 million in revenue from unidentified sources, some coming from Nomai. Wonder when and if they're going to exploit this product.
