These guys are closest to the action and I would think that would be a critical indicator on their views of real versus virtual stores.

au contraire .. if the way of the future is virtual stores "these guys" will never be able to change their infrastructure or internal skill sets. Watching Barnes and Noble should make that very clear.

Well, I did go ahead and take a position in BGP today.

Didn't think it was a "fast moving market", so I entered a market order. There was a delay of about 15 minutes when I couldn't get a confirmation and boom, when it shows up there I got it at 16 3/4, high for the am so far. About a point higher than I was willing to settle for today, and nearly two points higher than I had been willing to settle for two days ago. This was 50% my impatience and 50% I don't know what. I got a funny feeling as the confirmation took longer and longer to come back. Value investors aren't supposed to have to worry about this stuff.
