Tim

"1 bad day doesn't make them a bad firm "

I think you missed many posts. People on the thread are complaining about months of obnoxious service reps. It just took yesterday to bring it to fruition. IMO

Straight Up

P.S. That one bad day cost us all a lot of money. Who can give that back to us??

I agree Tim. I've been through CyberCorp, MB Trading, All-Tech all in the search of a good day-trading broker over the past 4 years. So far, ABW is the best. The only restriction that I do not like with ABW's version of RealTick is that you can't preference a market maker on SelectNet outside of the inside market, which I was able to do with MB Trading and other RealTick firms. Further, the ability to preference electronically before and after hours is missing.

The problem with CyberBroker is their software. They've got funny ideas about software development. For example, instead of a single program running they have a number of processes connected to all kinds of servers, and you don't get any kind of notification when one of the servers disconnects. For example, you stop receiving market indices but you may still get Level II updates. MB Trading also has additional fees just for you to cancel an order. With RealTick, there's much more of a comfort level because at least they conform to Windows programming standards for menus, windows, etc.

My only other suggestion to A.B. Watley would be to have the account update and order entry servers available at 8:00 am, just when trades are starting to be executed. Otherwise, you have to place an order to the desk.

Regarding trading outages, it's a part of trading. Ironically, my best day ever was yesterday because I was able to let my profits run while prices were recovering from the early morning drop ;-). Then today, I probably had my worst day ever and there were no problems whatsoever.
