"Are we talking about WebStreet?"

I had the same question. I have had an account with WSS for a year and a half. Things got so bad in the last few months that I had to get another broker.

People who talk about how great things are must be living in an alternate universe.

I do recall that at the time I first opened my account there was a person who frequently posted about how wonderful Web Street was. He also hyped them on several other threads. He turned out to be a WSS employee. That should also tell you something about this broker.

Mike,
Sounds like you are having troubles! Who do you trade with then? Are you sure your computer is working right? Maybe you need to upgrade your system. When I erase my COOKIES, update to a newer version of internet explorer or netscape navigator, I find that I get better results. Tell me about the firm that you are using, and how the executions are.

Later,
Bordelon

I disagree. I have only been with two firms, Etrade and Webstreet. Etrade is just flat out aweful. Customer service is slow, they still haven't got my accounts set up correctly. I have been pleased with Webstreet since early fall. I usually get execusions very quickly and the pop up confirmations are great. This new java app they are using for live quotes is much better, from what I have seen over the last few days. I also noticed the app is about 25k smaller(89k versus something like 125k).

As I said in an earlier post, I am going to open an account on Datek and see what they ahve to offer. I've heard both good and bad, as is the case with Webstreet.
