OT*One buys deep cyclicals whent the P/E ratio is absurdly high and sells when it reaches mid-single digits. <g> Usually.

When it is time for the cyclcals to run because of earnings growth, you'd be amazed at how fast and high the EPS estimates go. I recall a cyclical manufacturer once going from about 25 cents to 15 dollars a share (eps estimates) in a relatively short time, with the analysts raising the estimates all the way up. (this was last decade of course)

It's truly awesome what the combination of high fixed costs and accelerating volume will due to earnings. Of course, it's not sustainable, that's why they are cyclicals.<g>
