Re missing socks: I know for sure that they are kidnapped from the washing machine. Turn your back for a moment and the gremlins kidnap them, one from each pair.

I'll deal with your misuse of poor William's razor later....

I know where missing socks go, but it's not all that humorous. They ball up and creep into pants legs, shirt sleeves, pillowcases, and the like, in the washing machine and in the drier, and when the clothes are folded, no one notices them. Then the clothes get put in the back of the closet, and forgotten, or thrown away, and the socks go with them.

I wear very thick socks for hiking, which never get lost. They make very thick lumps, and I can always find them.
