I agree with you. DLJ charges $20 per trade but it is worth it. By keeping all my stocks at one place it is easy to buy and sell with no problems. In addition, by keeping over 100k in my account I am able to apply for IPO's.

Unless you are a day trader the difference between $8 0r 20$ a trade is insignificant.In addition it is considered a "cost" on US taxes.
