I'm with you Slider.

The across the board strength looks convincing. BUt I would advise folks to not start feeling bullet proof. After all, these aren't dot coms. :)

I sold FLC and WFT. Looking to buy back...or not. Doesn't matter. There will always be another bus come by.

" Folks; SII has 2000 eps estimates at $1.20 - a PE near 35 ??? CAM 35ish here ?
- whooooa nellie, but when the mo - mo pauses;"

Slider consider the valuations basis... Most of the firms have gone thru a reporting period where the basis price of oil adjusted down their worth quite considerably. Now consider that the "Price of OIL" is now in the 17 - 20 range, what does that do for valuations of assets? It sends the old estimates out the door and you have to readjust your bottom line. Smart analysts will be doing this now and this weekend you will see a slew of UPgrades. If not I hope we dip again so I can add to my portfolio. You see all these wonderful estimates are going to have to be adjusted.

Slider,
it looks like you took some of my advice. -g-
Seriously, tho, I am happy for those that made osx $ these past few months trading these drillers, but you are IMO right on re: valuations. The sell off in the techs, brokerages, et. al. should send a strong warning to uncautious folks. Cos. without solid earnings will get slammed in the next market dive.
