lib,

announcing weekend before actual trading begins is the only way. Otherwise, if you announce now and trading begins in a week, Canadian brokers would buy it up, therefore raising share price. By the time it begins trading on Naz, it may be considered too expensive for U.S. brokers to push through to their clients.
