Looks like the butterfly may be coming out of the cocoon.

Brown is making some good decisions it appears. With what I read in the proxy statement for the annual meeting he better turn things around. He came with a very high price tag. $4.45 million signing bonus, 50,000 options, option to buy 1 million shares at 41.50, annual salary of $1.5 million, annual bonus of anywhere from 100-200% of his salary, 16 years added to his seniority for retirement purposes.

Sadly I also saw that Alberthal will receive $1.7 million a year from 1999-2004 for "consulting". They also "supplemented" Alberthal's retirement such that he receives no less than $1 million a year at age 60. I hope he doesn't have to apply for food stamps. Gary Fernandes has also been retained as a "consultant" but will have to get by on a paltry $500,000 a year for a few years. This kind of stuff is pathetic in my opinion, irregardless of how long Alberthal and Fernandes were with EDS, they did not "earn" this kind of handout. I guess the $37 million and $14 million each of these guys got when they resigned was not sufficient pay the bills.
