Yup. I am also seeing a good degree of bears (however small in nos they are) developing the attitude that "don't stay short over the weekend." Most of this week's action cann't be explained other than frantic short-covering in the face of a totally fearless bull crowd. The options expiration should take some of the shields out of the bull camp. I am betting that short-interest on all the exchanges has dropped significantly in the last 3 days. A good combination for my classic "sell-to-whom" scenario.

Besides, the entrails crowd was led to believing that what we saw this week is a shakeout of weak hands before another blow-off top (God knows how many we will have! -g-) Per many entrails, the market is a gift horse manure buy! A pre-condition before the totally unexpected meltdown.

Keep those gold stocks tight.

PS: as usual, I reserve the right to be wrong.

Forgot to mention about the Bonds taking a turn from bad to worse as I was typing this note. The war factor seems to hit Gillete bottom line. If it were true (I have no reason to doubt them), I expect it to effect other multi nationals as well. Expect another warning from Gillete for this quarter.
