If you want the "best of all worlds investor" site:

Include the Clearstation concept: clearstation.com

Then add the 5 minute to 60 minute incremental chart features that iqc.com has to Clearstation's daily charts, and

Lastly add the real time quote features that Raging Bull provides its members for free: ragingbull.com

Thanks for the opportunity to provide some feedback.

Welcome to SI, Bryan. Yes, there's lots of Canucks here ... of course, there's not much difference - north of the Río Bravo you people are all gringos, you know -g-

One thing i don't understand - Why can't subjects under the 'Canadian' category make Hot Subjects? ... I can see why not in the '$5 and Under' and 'Gold, Mining, and Natural Resources' categories - but why not 'Canadian'?

Reason I ask is we've got a hot fuel cell issue on Toronto - #Subject-17464
Up 200% on Friday, up over 1000% this month, the world leader in one of its sectors, and a legitimate [imho] outfit with a promising new technology. They just announced a deal with Delphi - newswire.ca

But they can't get on Hot Subjects ... doesn't seem fair to me ... maybe an oversight?

Good luck and thanks for posting ... if you like, you could check in at the 'Companies Whose Management Post' thread - #Subject-16262 -g- ... cheers

ps - one of my big regrets for the past year is that i didn't take Tastes Like Chicken's advice to put a few GNET away ... likely will yet though.

I find the charts on SI so totally annoying that I never use them. I don't like logarithmic charts, they give a false idea of movement, IMHO. I think somebody invented them to save space. Also, going back a max of 100 days is pretty useless unless you are a day trader. Just a simple ordinary chart would be helpful, the way it is now is wasted space. Yeah, they are different. Different and useless. The only worse ones are Yahoo's.

If I had one request, it would be to make the charts normal, and make them go back 6 months minimum.

Humbly report, Bryan, since the topic is charts, I humbly agree with TLC (#reply-8993893) and humbly add that I'd love to see it here something like this: #reply-8940424.

Cheers,

Svejk

Bryan,

Welcome to SI and GNET. And thanks for hosting this thread. I think that the community here is the most valuable thing of all -- and it is great to see that you respect that.

As for enhancements to SI, I look forward to being able to mute certain posters, and to much better integration with market data and news. How about company news coming in from Reuters/Reality, PR Newswire and Buswire and being posted directly to the message boards just like any other message? The depth and breadth of news coverage on moneynet.com would be appreciated here I think. And some jazzed-up charting stuff.

E-mail portfolio tracker push, that would also include headline links to new SI postings about the stocks would also be way cool. What about rating posters the way buyers and sellers are rated on e-bay? How about some programs to entice CEOs and IR people from various firms to come and post here?

Well, that is probably plenty for now,

Thanks again for the thread,

Rick.
