Tony,

This is what happened last year when it went from about 65 to as low as 41.
I think even without the downgrade EMC would have dropped, maybe not to these levels, but it would have dropped just the same.
Of course the downgrade did not help.

i can sympathize with you because i have told so many friends about emc and many have recently bought around 108..me personally my buy in cost is 15.00..when i called the company this morning i was so pleasantly surprised how delightful the man was on the phone..see my post what he said.,.the company is very optimistic and they feel this selloff is unwarranted..but what can you do..fox made his flagrant remark..and the company was ontop of it and refuted his statment....the earnings will come out and all those who jumped ship will be very sorry!!!!!! this is a solid compnay with fabulous management..very high growth coming in 99 - ???..im here for the long term!!! i just feel badly for my friends who had made money and now are even again..its only a temporary thing but i hate to see emc going through this..its been so non- volitle .. sue
