DSP-Cdma Chip> April 16, 1999 DSP delivers WorldCDMA chipset CUPERTINO, Calif.—DSP Communications Inc. commenced delivery of its WorldCDMA ARM integrated multi-mode baseband chipset, the D5421, said the company. ‘‘DSPC's D5421 is the only cdmaOne chipset available today that enables handset manufacturers to achieve standby times of up to 350 hours,'' said Arnon Kohavi, vice president of Business Development for DSPC. The D5421 is DSPC's second-generation chipset and provides PowerSmart management for minimizing power consumption, while adding functionality such as voice recognition, said DSPC. RCR NEWS
