ketan: RE: CNBC/Fidelity/LU and Tech
Just heard another CNBC report reiterating Magellan/Fidelity story
My earlier post said: CNBC announced this AM that Fidelity had lightened up its technology exposure, and mentioned specifically LU and INTC...
The Reuters story published at 5:05pm today(and posted on the LU thread) notes that Magellan "...pared it's holdings of both INTC and LU..." and "...tech holdings dropped to 20.9% as of 3/31/99 from the peak of 25.8% at end of 1998..."
Ted David on CNBC about 1/2 hour ago used the word "cut" in reference to tech holdings in Magellan 3 times
I looked at the Fidelity website, and, indeed both Magellan,at 90B and Contrafund, at 41B had reduced thier % of tech holdings over the past month.
No intention on my part to mislead, I hold INTC and other big techs long
Regards
James
