Dear El: The only thing that I can see that might save us in the interim period is the AV IPO. I did not factor that into my evaluation as even now I have no damn idea how its being structured. I only continue to hold this stock for now because of it though. JDN

My fear is that:

1. They used the tax credits to get to the 15¢.

2) They really go conservative for the balance of the year and steer analysts to a $1.00 number.

If either of those two things happen then we're up sh*ts creek for a long time.

The recent drop by Sun and IBM may take some of the pressure off of cpq, 'cause the problem MAY NOT be just cpq, but industry or Y2K related. In that case analysts may not be so tough on cpq in their conference call and we could even pop a bit.

But I think JDN's scenario sounds about right.
