I spoke to a woman today at excite who explained to me the rerason the excite search function is no longer a part of the g2 player is their contract expired and they could not renew it at terms favorable to esxcite.
What does everyone think about this...is this a positive or negative....today the search functions are done through realguide. who owns the search capabilities of this service...is it a new rnwk product or are they using a third party that you can't see.
anyone think that maybe yahoo or aol would step up to the plate to fill the void?
did rnwk want this development?
what are the implications here and where is the comapny going with this?
Are we looking at a new portal company to compete more directly with bcst?
I need some thoughts from all of you on this significant development.
