It sounds to me like you forgot to add your NT partition when you were configuring LILO. You can add partitions to LILO's boot list easily with the program linuxconf. There's a terminal version and an X version as well.

When you install or configure Linux you must add a section where it boots from NT as well. Walk through the /sbin/liloconfig and add it in.

It does not tell you about NT partitions in the liloconfig. I guess you will have to experiment.
