Wasn't aware of this, Pru.

When did search engine contract end? Didn't it just commence with release of G2? Odd that it would have been just a one-year deal. Gather it's effective down the road a few months and that no replacement's been announced.

Only ramification is that somebody else will get it, including say, INKT, in conjuntion with RNWK's *own* portal. That would bring search "in house," and RNWK could sell the advertising generated as a result of the incremental traffic.

These deals are done a number of different ways. Presumably, XCIT was paying RNWK an up-front fee or guaranteed amount, plus a providing RNWK a piece of the advertising/e-commerce action; several formulas can be used.

Would be surprised if YHOO replaces XCIT, as that's inconsistent with the theory that YHOO is "warming up" to MSFT.

Gather there are no press releases or news articles on this development and that it's not effective for a while. Let us know what you learn.
