Christopher,,, I respectfully disagree with you---

All of this refugee stuff and everything could easily be predicted by normal people who watched fights in a school yard, never mind the dudes they have working for them....

I have read in several places that it was in fact predicted by the military people and ignored....

<<All because we wouldn't>>>>

That line tells me something,, I don't know if it says anything to you...
To me it says we wanted to bomb-- knowing full well the consequences of so doing...

I'll try again---- <g>

<<Hmmm. We intended that half a million Kosovans become refugees? >>

YES,, we knew it would happen, we were even told by the military that it would happen...

<<We intended
that farm tractors be bombed and dozens of Kosovan civilians killed? >>

Most definitely yes... How the hell do you drop bombs on unarmed civilians and say you did'nt know--- Just like shooting down that civilian airliner over the Gulf a few years ago-- All military air people said that that was an extremely suspect mistake....

<< We intended
that Russia retarget its missiles at Europe? >>>

No surprise there----

<< Pretty dumb intentions, I would say.>>>

Certainly would appear that way to most people, but obviously not so dumb to the people who make these decisions....

<<The reality is that the "intended" consequences, if you go back about 27 days in the
news, was that Milosovic would fold within one or two days. >>

The reality is that that is what we were led to believe-- (the first drop of the bad news) They were warned once again by their own advisers that most definitely would not be the case...

<<Go back and
review what our stated goals and time table were. >>>

State Schmated--- White man speak with fork tongue----

<< we are in a mess with
no way out except to totally destroy a former ally and its people, lay waste to an
entire country, destroy tens or hundreds of thousands of lives, subject millions of
people to food shortages and possible starvation, etc. >>>

Well they've got you convinced---

<< All because we wouldn't
reach a reasonable diplomatic solution to a problem >>>

There it is again---"We Wouln't"
Why???--- let me guess----Hmmm,,, Because we didn't want to reach a diplomatic solution?

<< compared to Somalia, the Sudan, Rawanda,
East Timor, Tibet, Pakistan, etc. only a handful of people had died>>>

The US has no problem with these events-- would not be surprised at all to find the invisible hand of the CIA in there somewhere...

<< But is this REALLY worth the
death and destruction we are locked into?>>

Obviously it is to someone.....
