Jbenz0, thanks for the vivid scenario. Hopefully I won't be reliving it in the next few weeks. I just sent in my money to open a new account on Thursday.
Where is that new facility. We need the extra what is it -- speed/memory/power.

I remain Long Egrp.

Good Luck,
-Mary

jbenzo,
Too bad to lose you as a shareholder. The system is overloaded with new customer sign ups's. I have been with E*Trade since before the internet and growing pains have been there as long as they have been in business. The thing that keeps me a customer is all my complaints have been resolved. One competitor announced they will try to hire 1000 new employees to keep up with demand so that tells me the other systems are worse than E*T. I also have an account with Datek and the quote system there is so bad that sometimes a quote will show a stock up 5 points when it's down 4 points. Many days at the open all servers are down. At least with E*T the information seems to be reliable. I have noticed better fills and faster reporting lately also.
