Our oven has to be lit. It's a 1927 Wedgewood. The Stone Age was cool. :o) PS: it has a thing on the side that will heat the rooms, even when the electricity/gas furnace is out. Of course, that happens to be up against a cabinet right now, but it's nice to know that part is there. I don't know why.

Gas stove. Natural gas is the best for cooking. I keep mentioning that we rent, the stove doesn't have electronic stuff to light it, and who knows what happened to the pilot light. Matches work fine, can't persuade the kids to get down on their knees and shove a match all the way back on the bottom of the broiler section and light the oven. I guess I could try extra long matches.
