Process Boy,

Sorry it's easy to get defensive around this place. But it seems clear from other documents located on this site that those numbers are purely made up. The whole point of that course seems to be to study the effect of caches, etc. on performance. It would appear that some Prof said "Yes, the K7 has a larger but slower L1 cache, while Coppermine has a smaller, but faster L1 cache.. assume the guts are like this: (some BS) and tell me, which one wins?"

Regards,

Steve
