The Emeralds in Columbia are NOT Hard Rock deposits by the way.

you do realize that this statement is wrong, don't you? The gems ARE hard rock deposits and transported by secondary means to be redeposited where they are later found. (Aluvial plains)

But Placier deposits not familiar with the term.. I'll check it out.
