Hi Howard, I can only theorize on this, but it seems like we are having the same divergence today, with the Dow ramping but a lot of the high flyers being sold.

Everyone knows, when you have human nature involved, anything and everything will be done if there's a buck in it. Why wouldn't a big institutional investor (who is planning to unload stock in size) ramp the Spoos to kick in the buy programs to sell into? Or why wouldn't a big mutual fund company bid up the DOW components or component like CAT to present the impression to the ignorant of a healthy strong market, while they're selling Nasdaq stocks with both hands? Propping up the DOW to support the market while they were still selling...

Just some of my many pet conspiracy theories -g-, ah well, off to the golf course, beautiful day here in sunny South Carolina!
