I email messages to myself that I want to save. ... especially because I am often away from home when doing si ... and can keep all messages in same place.

E, my dear, please don't get mad at me, but if you save to a file on your computer called "My Desktop," or "Clutter," you are saving to your hard drive. You don't have to do a thing, just save it on the computer, and it's on the hard drive. Unless you save to diskette, but you'd know that, wouldn't you?
