You forgot to add something that was attached to that purported research:

Disclosure - Preferred (or one of its affiliates) or their partners, officers, directors, analysts, employees or customers may have an interest in the securities mentioned herein and may make purchases or sales as principal or agent of these securities, or their derivatives, or Preferred may make a market in one or more of the securities described. .

This news was released last Thursday by Coherent and this is the market's view on the economic value of it:

quote.yahoo.com

In other words : zero : the monopoly for CYMI is intact. It's always amazing to me how much time people who love COHR spend posting on the CYMI thread. CYMI investors almost never post on the COHR thread and neither do the COHR investors they just come here. Interesting

The other part of the Preferred report (from their disclosure), left out:

The Information contained herein is based on data obtained from recognized market research firms, statistical services, issuer reports or communications, or other sources that are believed to be reliable. However, this Information has not been verified by Preferred and we therefore do not make any representations as to its accuracy or completeness

Basically these traders took the COHR press release and misinterpreted the appearance of Lambda's 248 laser K2020 as being part of this limited - one time - for lab testing order of the 193 laser A2020. But uno momemto por favor gringo verde - the press release quite clearly announces the order is for the 193 A2020 only - a years from now production ready device. From the press release:

>>"The orders are for the next generation NovaLine® excimer laser systems operating at 2 kHz pulse rate and will be delivered in the second calendar quarter of 1999. SVG-Lithography will take delivery of several A2020 (2kHz ArF) lasers for integration with high throughput production versions of its MICRASCAN III and MS193 nm systems."<<

An easy enough research report mistake with no money on the line. But where does anyone with any common sense think they have the firm's capital parked. You got it Keemosabi.

In addition to joke journalism (Biz Week), now we're getting joke research from options trading houses. When will it stop? My bet is we're getting real close. Some boys who are still stuck big time can't cover to get out no matter how many rotten lie wrong rumors they spread - now - earnings, business conditions and industry peers are ready to really gain momemtum to the upside. This is all gonna be over by market forces very soon.

Good Luck To Each And All
