If you haven't noticed, Cisco is invading and taking LU's turf. As for Cisco's carrier business, it is growing at a 70% clip. Sure, LU is an obstacle as you say, but I do not view its large size and lumbering lethargy as so much attributes against Cisco's legendary management and networking prowess. LU is old world but still appeals to utility investors who like the old dividends and consistency of managed results. There are indications that does not appeal to much of ASND's talent, as many reportedly transition toward the exits.
