The preopen bids that you see are only market orders.

If On Monday morning there is 200k for sale at various points up tp $20 then only a 1k offer at 25 30 35 40 and 45 and we have 250k worth of market buy orders - they will line up at 45 or whichever point we reach when the total of the offers is greater than the total of the market buys. As a result limit sell orders at $25 thru 35 will all get sold for 45.

No more likely the balance will be met closer to $11+???

The same happens on sell orders at market lining up. When there is lots on both sies it hops arond like crazy - It is a coumputer program. I noticed now that sometimes the ASE shows the orders ar 9999 indicating market orders - This is new as we could nere tell before. The ASE also provides order depth by broker

John
The pre-opening Bid on Friday a minute or two before the opening of Gle was at 50dollars.
I'm sure we will see it again on monday and one of these days it will open there.
