OT America is the place to be if you got money. Why? The weather would be my reason. If Canada had the same weather, I would never even dream of visiting the USA. The standard of living is much better here for the average person. When I was a teenager, I could go into the worst known neighborhood in Canada and walk around in the evening with a real worry.

IMHO, the USA would be a far better place if it had the same standard of living as Canada. I hear people just abandon downtown areas on the weekend and head for the surroundings. Up here, people love going to the heart of downtown on weekends and late night. Canada gets ranked # 1 among some United Nations studies. Sorry I don't remember the exact details.

Sorry I did not mean to spoil the proud American discussions. I still love coming down the USA but am just not ready to consider living there unless of course it is near the beach!!! I still love your country but i think it has a lot of human issues unresolved---crime, guns etc..For a country that rich, there should not be these types of serious problems---that is the questions Americans should ask themselves. Once that is solved, America is number 1.
