Magellan does not a stockmarket make. Sure, there is a knee jerk reaction to that move by traders but the same thing happened in 1995 when Jeff Vinik was running Magellan. He went from 40% tech holding in Sept 1995 to 20% by end of 1995. Tech faltered for that period, especially the previously white hot semis, only till Jan 1996 when Techs came roaring back till the June-July correction. That deflated the Iomega, IMPX etc. bubbles and Aug 96 to Dec 96 saw everything else that rightfully was being overvalued before come back to overvalued stage again (CSCO, COMS, ASND, CSCC, ALTR, INTC, MSFT etc.)
History is a good teacher one just has to pay attention.

One quarter of languish is good and healthy.
