I've updated my charts on my website on market breadth:

The cumulative Adv-Dec line just went positive today, as you can see from the first chart. That has been a pretty reliable short term buy signal.

Another example is October 1995:

Some background:

1) Market leadership was techs, most pronounced in the semiconductors.

2) There was a July top in the market in which the Nasdaq corrected
about 7%.

3) The market went on to make new highs in October with poor breadth.

4) Market indexes started decline while McClellan Oscillator made
two rallies. Steel, truckers, and other cyclicals were rallying.

The Nasdaq declined about 10%.
The Dow and the S&P 500 had even smaller declines.
