I recently encountered a recipe for "planked shad" that ran on the same principle. 1) Nail a shad to a plank (..)
thus my "carpentry" question. I didn't wanna give it away - or better even, I didn't wanna interfere with a new twist!!

<<When the mud has solidified, take it off the fire. Crack open the mud, remove the leaves, and take your carp. Throw it away and eat the pine boards. >>

Believe it or not, a favorite in Illinois River area taverns is carp. It's scored and fried slowly to let the bones melt. Lots of breading.

The British love carp and consider walleye a trash fish. That might have caused the Revolution in 1776.

After extracting the fish from the mud, does it leave behind
a carpal tunnel?
