And GLM has done well since then based on one thing only.

Speculation.

There has not been one shred of evidence forthcoming that would indicate GLM has any potential near term(this year) to turn earnings around. That is what Slider was referring to. If oil stays up here and if worldwide consumption stays strong then drillers will go back to work. Not before.

Heretic,

In order for an exhaustion bottom or sector capitulation to occur, someone has to do the capitulating. You can thank these big money boys for taking out the overhead resistance IMHO. Just 3 things to follow in the sector for me on the trend.

Any increase in rig utilization
Any rising trends in dayrates
Per the Dog/ The price of Oil Stupid (the most important fundamentaly IMO as it will have an impact on everything else)
