OFF TOPIC. i use etrade. i do not recommend them. go to SI thread "etrade sucks" and you will find several of my postings.... along with others from other disgruntled etrade users. for instance i called on 13 apr and inquired about an ira i wanted open on 15 apr for 1998. told me it was too late. i had an application for national discount broker ndb.com i sent it overnight on 14 apr and they received it and opened my account on the 15th... WHY COULDN'T ETRADE DO THE SAME?? NDB comes highly recommended by another net friend who does some day trading and has been satisfied with these guys. for instance, you want to buy some gnnx. you know it is too high, but you want some anyway... well you buy 1,000 shares for .20, it is going down you buy another 1,000 for .15, and then you buy your last 1,000 where Pete2 might buy at .10. with etrade you would have $59.97 in commissions. 19.95 for each trade. with NDB if you make multiple purchases of same stock on some day you only get hit with one commission... $19.95 for limit orders... this is how i understand it... go to their thread and read their stuff so you will know for sure...
