Yo_Tenchusatsu...............I think 840 supports multiple processors with ECC SDRAM, not ECC RAMBUS RAM. It is possible that the 840 chipset supports ECC RAMBUS RAM with a SINGLE processor, but since it is a multiprocessor server chipset I can't see using it with just a single processor when you can use the 820 with ECC RAMBUS RAM for much less expense? The problem with RDRAM in a multiprocessor system is the synchronizing of the bus clocks for memory timing on rising/falling - leading/trailing memory clocks because RDRAM has no buffers like SDRAM> I hope I am not confusing everyone, I will try to find some clarifying post from the Intel site and post them. Right now (unless there has been a break through this week)RAMBUS RAM will not be used in MULTI-PROCESSOR SERVER SYSTEMS in the near future, these systems will still use ECC SDRAM or the newer PC133 SDRAM in conjunction with the 133Mhz front side bus.

Salude and good trading Tenchusatsu - Norman!
