TM, the penalty box reinforces the lesson.

A guy named MetaCrawler said it best on another thread: If you learn to take a loss, you will never fail on Wall Street. How many times have we noted that if we enter a position, expecting something to happen and it doesn't, why are we still here?

No, the penalty box just represents lost opportunity. You're up so much YTD that you can afford the lost opportunity. I certainly understand that it was a tough lesson for your student to start with, but isn't it the most important lesson? Get the entry point right. I see an easy 20 different possible plays in the next couple of days - if they hit the entry point.
