Guilty until proven innocent! The stigma continues.
Sure looks like Compaq
is making a concerted effort to appease resellers. Compaq has
been fairly quiet news wise but this week looks like an exception
with substantial news.

Here is one more and I'm done for awhile.

Compaq Notebook Inventory -- Percentage Of Resellers Citing Each Level

Apr. 16, 1999 (Computer Reseller News - CMP via COMTEX) -- In contrast to Toshiba, the percentage of
resellers reporting shortages of Compaq notebooks has dropped sharply in the past year, while the
percentage reporting excess supplies has risen slightly, according to the CRN reseller hardware poll. The 22
percent of resellers reporting excess supplies in March is the highest among the three major notebook
vendors and reflects slowing sales. But nearly six out of 10 resellers said their inventories of Compaq
notebooks were just right in March, up from 49 percent a year earlier.
