Given Mr. Pink's thesis, He is avoiding all flying turd situations. Even Barrons seems to agree with Mr. Pink's hypothesis. (read abelson's colum)

tdl, re: USAB... tiny bank, $185MM assets, been in biz 110years, so whatever its growth strategy, it hasn't been very successful. Converted thrift, about 4 years ago, so likely still dealing with building infrastructure to support more traditional banking products and customers. Performance has been mediocre, 1% ROA, 12% ROE. This bank and others claiming revolutionary e-strategy have a credibility problem. What is it they are/will do that is so different?... what kind of $ can they spend to create technology that will give them an edge?... and how do they expect to compete with the Citi's, Wells, etc who already have 5-700,000 customers on i-banking?

I think you're right about a short-term long (about a day)... same thing happened with ATLB last week. Up 20 in one day, down 20 the next. The i-bank furor is going to burn out fast, IMO.

Good luck.
