I think their handling of the last two quarters is anything but masterful. Shows that there has been a sales and executive management problem. I wonder what the street feels about how they've handle things?

I'm still considering your well thought out message regarding the product's advantages. I too believe that there is a market for more than Lotus Domino! On the other hand, I don't think that DCTM or anyone will neccessarily be able to rely on product differentiators (and I would think DCTM is more aware of this than most). Gosh, even the lowly PC DOCS has failover now. What next?

My point is not to debate product against product, but I do feel that price will continue to erode. DCTM has shown itself to be a somewhat arrogant player with third parties (and some customers) and I think this is not how a company facing the prospect of broader distribution (due to lower prices) needs to act.

Or, will they look more and more like a mix of a SEBL and a CATP?

Maybe CA will buy them.

Random rumblings. But management stumbled big time over the last 6 months Miss of > 6M in license revenue last quarter? Basically 1/3? Yikes!

What will happen when the buying slows? Have they communicated a credible message to the street? Is it believed?

Long term none of this may matter but since you mentioned the shorter term ("manage the stock price upward for the rest of the year") I think the questions are relevant in that time frame. Any thoughts?
