For fun and profit (I hope!): My most timely list of stock picks (before leaving for vacation)....or....."ones I feel safe holding while I'm gone"
JUST FOR FUN: My most timely list of stock picks (before leaving for vacation)....or....."ones I feel safe holding while I'm gone"
>>> MRPS: solid and surest bet I have seen in years (always nice to have some non-scary stocks in your portfolio). They have so many positives....the biggest of which is they are profitable now and they have REAL and high demand and very high margin products that are SHIPPING NOW, not some promise of future earnings like the vast majority of the internet and BB stocks we seem to deal with on SI.
** High demand/very high margin products that are manufactured for them by first calss manufacturing plants (Bulova and UMM, an ultrasound manufacturer)
** "Who's who list of clients" who have already signed contracts...Ford, GM, Delco, Army Corp of Engineers, NASCAR, etc.
** Negotiations under way with some 40-50 other companies.
** Also use distributors (3 under contract right now) who buy a guaranteed amount of product every month for terrific cash flow
(just announced: a $5M contract with a distributor who sells to Volvo, Penske, etc.)
** Company can be valued on real earnings (profitable Q1), not on wild promises of future earnings like 98% of the internet stocks
** Q2 (the quarter we are in now) is the first quarter that will be a FULL shipping quarter for them, so if they were profitable during a partial ship quarter in Q1, we expect excellent profits soon)
** Website (both informational and e-commerce coming)
** Financials avialable for viewing in the next week or so (reason the stock is not trading at $3-4 in my opinion)
I have 4 times more money in MRPS that any other single stock I own, but it's always good to diversify so here are some other timely stocks:
>> IHTL.... volume way up last 2 days....could have 2 PR's next week.... could be a turning point for this stock which recently was at $1.25 and now near 75 cents. Contracts with an NFL team or another entity expected. Also news about their globalsports website. They are working with Robby Unser of IHL fame in preparation for unveiling their technology at the INDY 500.
Yahoo, ESPN, ABC, Fox, PGA, NFL, etc. are all being talked with.
Why? Because IHTL's technology is so revolutionay and ready made for the next century of sports viewers, that I think all these entities are looking for anything that will increase TV and website viewship and ad revenues.
Check out the current site: globalsportsnet.com
Remember it could be changing for the better soon, but gives you some feel for the promise.
>>> SETO… Slight selloff is an obvious overreaction and impatience due to delayed financials. I am in at 65 cents and not worried. Audited financials for them HAVE to be out b4 month end, so they will come. I expect a $2 stock by year end or sooner. Looking for a slight additional dip before buying more. MM's are keeping the spread wide to slow down buying, and to protect themselves from a strong run up.
>>> KYOM Just discovered company with operates a Chinese ISP, but real kicker is the promise of Chinese internet lottery that has the backing of the Chinese Government. I started a thread Friday... a bit risky and it could run (and fall back) fast before stabilizing again. I hope it has a slow steady up move, but somehow I expect volatility because several Chinese Internet stocks have been very hot lately.
>>> WWAT.... It's unknown, but I may be posting on it soon after doing more DD. What got my attention in this one is that a large group of investors removed from SI, who virtually never plays BB stocks, is recommending this for a long term hold. It is a 65 cents stock with supposedly 10 cents earnings, a 15 year old company, and the CEO and COO are formerly of Westinghouse and Chase Manhattan Bank, respectively.
> >> WINR:
Only down the list because it is not quite as timely as some others, but I love WINR. Hopefully we'll see financials by month end that will give us a picture of profitability. I am waiting for this to drop back some. My second "surest bet" stock next to MRPS to triple this year or more. Information from the company can sometimes be hard to come by (since they are a conservative, low-hype entity) but I will be adding significantly to my portfolio on WINR on dips. I expect big things in the next few weeks and months.
>>> SYCD.... maybe the most undervalued of all....good fundamentals and a compelling value because they have dropped 84% from their high of last November, and because their sales have dramatically increased each month (15% per MONTH), and the recent agreements with MGM, Orion Pictures, Bandai (largest toy store on earth) and Barnes and Noble, this one will probably explode at some point.
When? ...maybe when financials are done, since I believe people will see they are profitable. Sales at trades shows and from their E-Commerce website have dramatically increased. And the Japanese Anime market video and DVD market is growing dramatically. The Disney release of the biggest grossing film in history, Japan's anime film titled "Princess Minoki", should be tremendous attention to SYCD after it is released to U.S. audiences. Already the Anime cartoons on the "Cartoon Network" receive huge market shares in the U.S.
>>> TLWN, worth watching.....good seasonal play, recent deal with WalMart, plus other clients like Ace/True Value and many others. Should be profitable at this point and hundreds of TV commercials starting. Good and safe, with good upside, especially if MM's decide to co-operate more. Seems a safe bet for appreciation and very limited downside risk. Good new PR guy in Jeff Brommer. Company needs to put out spefic numbers or change name to twln.com. lol! I like this one.
HAPPY INVESTING EVERYONE, DAVE
PS-- REMEMBER....Don't sell ANY MRPS to buy these.....MRPS is the best & surest stock by far, in my opinion
