"Dad are we almost there?" "Not there yet"... thanks Josef for another great wav file to push yet another finished dayjob file off the desktop. You know, you're right about Cisco approaching value so there's no rush yet. I'm drawing a bead on ATHM and CNET and SUNW Next Up for Bigs With More Momentum. Getting small buys in at whatever price (not too bad now, will go lower, will go higher too, dont'cha think?) and then either adding to them or harvesting quick 909s if by chance they happen to trade for another Big on a lower edge of its cycle is how I "Start Me Up".
"After Techride when it's time to humbly rest" truly encapsulates what we probably all want, Josef...am always so interested to hear yours, Susans, Joes, Mikes, Mooons, Jims, Sunnys, more of Blues, and everyone else on Techrides goals, hopes, dreams, along with the investment strategy vehicle (mine is posted aways back here already) as the plans, goals, and methods so necessary for focus and success.
Humbly hope you're as interested to hear my plans/goals/methods/dreams for Independence Through Investing: Practical And First Foremost my daughter gets put thru college (with her either being very frugal or working p/t for her luxury money too) as far as she wants to go (starting in 2 1/2 years it won't be long) and then launching her in life with at least a car & wardrobe and then probably a wedding along with helping them get a house when the time comes; but more realistically probably also be giving her support to bolster a low paycheck as a beginner in her field for awhile after college not to mention the continuing treats from mom that'll always be happening too. For myself, I want to move (back to) Southern California and be an artist again, this time not worrying about money to give my pictures the freedom they need to get a shot at Level 1 Master range, a.k.a. The Big Time. Fortunately my daughter also wants to move back to where she was born, and go to college there. We moved from Southern California back to the East Coast (where I was born) when she was 5; and after she finishes highschool here and her friends all scatter it'll be time to head on out again. Going there on a vacation this summer, a friend of mine is getting a Real Estate license, and if I fall in love with a house that's the right price I want to buy it and rent it out thru a property manager til we move back there (sensible investment a 909 Squared the way prices on The Gold Coast are moving).
Will most likely be relocating my dear aunt to a retirement home on the West Coast also when we go; hope so. Doubt if this will all happen in 2 1/2 years (we'll be moving but I'll still have to work at numbers and stuff for several years)- but at least I have friends who have told me when I move there they'll refer me clients for the officework business and I know they will so That's Set. Dreaming it possibly could be ALL in place if I get REAL LUCKY with These Stocks - giving it the 110% effort anyway (aren't we all?!) so let's see if the seeds sprout in regular mulch, get stunted by the weather, or zoom up in Miracle Grow...no way of guessing a sooner timeframe in the coldframe because that part of it's Up To The Market and Luck.
But I'll be 50 this year and seeing a 909er on the whole portfolio to cheer me up on A Black-Balloon Birthday is A Possibility. By my mid-50's I want to be free of dayjob officework business and having to pay left-brainer attention to stocks instead of art business....want my workday to once again run on the rhythm of Strauss Waltz "The Artist Life" like it did when I was in my 20's, rather than "Start Me Up" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want" which is The Techride Of Now. Techride is so much fun for now and for a few years too, but at some point this door will close and another door will open for Me as I'm thinking it will for All Of Us (unless there's another Warren Buffett around here, just pile up the money all the livelong day/lifetime, that's Doubleplusgood too). Don't want to use my whole working life at money biz although right now it's "Make Hay While The Sun Shines" "Make Lemonade From The Lemon" and "That's Right, Hurry Up and plow it before it melts" (as my dear Dad expressed it)with the Unbelievable Profits of Internet Stock Investments which are the good results so far anyway of "Answering The Door When Opportunity Only Knocks Once".
"Being In The Right Place At The Right Time" is centered on SI Techride as Hub Of My Internet Investing Venture, posting with

(Hey Blue, add that one to the list of our sayings, Good One?)
Can't Wait for this Coming Music Week for my daughter and me.... Monday seeing Neil Young Solo Live Acoustic Concert in NYC, Tuesday guests of her guitar teacher at one of his club gigs, Wednesday is her guitar lesson, Thursday we see Dick Dale at a dinner show in So. Jersey, Friday who knows but got a feeling something will be happening then and Saturday night too with such a momentum going from Music Week.
So This Week I'll be LIVE FROM TECHSTOCK '99 For Real.
I think it's A Sign.
909,
Joan
