Mr. Trent Johnsen reports
Offsite Data Services Ltd., a provider of world-class on-line backup and services,
has concluded a dealer agreement and business alliance with Northwest Digital of
Calgary, Alta. Northwest Digital is a network integration expert, which has been
providing information technology products and services to the Calgary market for
the past 18 years. Northwest Digital combines its best practices framework Md3
with leading technologies from Intel and Hewlett Packard to provide on-line
network support and remote management internationally from its "Network
Operation Centre" in Calgary. "Offsite provides a "best practices" on-line data
backup and recovery solution for our clients. Neither Northwest Digital nor our
clients have to contend with the challenges of managing or recovering from tape on
site in keeping with our remote network management philosophy. It provides
Northwest Digital clients automated protection and secure, uninterrupted access
to their critical data," says Robin McKinney, vice-president marketing and sales
for Northwest Digital.
"Our distribution arrangement with Northwest Digital is tremendous validation of
both our service and our distribution strategy. It provides Offsite a means of
delivering its solution to Northwest Digital's significant client base. Our
arrangement with Northwest Digital will also provide an opportunity to explore
distribution arrangements with their affiliate company, Hartco Enterprises Inc. of
Montreal. Hartco is an $800-million (annual sales, 1998) Canadian-based
technology distribution company," says Trent Johnsen, president and chief
executive officer, Offsite Data Services Ltd.
