James,

I think we should keep an open mind regarding how high amzn could go (both in terms of over-exuberance and disappointment). A lot of people bought in the last couple of days. I think all of them in expectation of a breakout. My feeling is most shorts covered, also. I am also sure there is wide ownership by funds, especially the internet-specific funds. I don't consider it a sure thing that it will keep any gains past the release of its report. Until then, I think there is a lot of risk both long and short.

Here is something pleasing. On Friday you made 5 points on the short side. I made 5 points on the long side, and Jan made a profit on BOTH sides.

Michael Murphy's shorting it (...or at least he was). btw, he's an excellent contrary indicator, both long and short.
