Nice response, you should be a poet, but you failed to site anything concrete. The U.N. should have lead this since they are a political organization that is adept at resolving these kinds of issues through negotiation. The U.N. doctrines are our only significant foundation for international law and we are in facting "flushing" them in favor of what NATO justifies is correct.

NATO is exceeding it's definitions by being involved. In essence NATO was/should be just a "treaty" between a group of nations that pledge allegiance to defend each other should THERE borders be incurred upon. Not jumping into internal skirmishes and in effect becoming the new global cops.

p.s. the cold war isn't over. It was on it's way to being over, through economic integration with Russia, but this little fiasco has set us back greatly.
