i think that very few people know about petroquest and thats why it hasnt had any kind of a move .with the rapid and very significant rise in the price of oil and gas this will go straight through to petroquests bottom line and very quickly.as i said before it isnt even in the list of local stocks in the lafayette daily advertiser even though its based here .anyway i am sure that there current priority is to bring this well onstream ,the cash flow from that should enable them to start drilling some of these toehr great targets that they have in thier pre existing fields.the technology for finding oil and gas now is so much better with the new 3 d seismic there really is very little risk in these wells other than the difficulty of actually getting them completed and on stream ,that gets more difficult the deeper the well .some wells in mobile bay are down at 23000 feet and the technological problems in drilling them are huge and those wells dont actually produce much more than this current petroquest well .i have no idea as to the reserves or how long it will produce for or whether they will be drilling any more at the same location .
i heard that chevron is having a lot of problems with their current mobile bay well .
anyway i just think we have to sit tight ,provided that the price of oil and gas stays up i would be very surprised if petroquest is less than a double in the next year .anyway we just have to sit tight i cant imagine their is much downside risk here and i think upside is very significant .arh
